Membership Terms & Conditions for Members & Student Members

  1. Members must be over 18 years of age to participate in the Clarendon Hotel ‘Claro Club’ Membership or Student Membership program.
  2. Student Members must be current students of Newcastle University or a Hunter Tafe
  3. Only one membership per person is permitted.
  4. Members can only have one active Clarendon Hotel membership card in use at any one time. Their deemed active card will be the one registered with the most recent date.
  5. Membership of the Clarendon Hotel Membership program is a cost of $5, except during promotional periods when membership may be reduced or free.
  6. The Clarendon Hotel may refuse any application for membership without reason.
  7. The Clarendon Hotel may terminate a Membership Program and cancel all rewards at any time without notice for any reason.
  8. Membership cards are not credit or charge cards, are not transferable and remain the property of The Clarendon Hotel.
  9. Rewards, Prizes and gifts are not transferable and cannot be transferred between member accounts to accumulate a required total and a member cannot accrue or redeem points on behalf of another member.
  10. Members must present their cards to a Clarendon Hotel staff member during the purchase transaction to receive an associated members discount, reward or offer.
  11. All The Clarendon Hotel rewards points expire after one year.
  12. By becoming a member, you give your consent to receive promotional information and will receive such information via email or SMS or text, or both.
  13. Any members promotion, daily special or offer is not applicable to student members 5% discount.
  14. Rewards, Prizes and of gifts cannot be redeemed for cash.
  15. You must have your Clarendon Hotel Membership card on your person in order to redeem and reward, prize, gift or offer.
  16. Any tax, liability or duty arising from a member’s participation in the Membership Program is the responsibility of the member.
  17. Rewards are earned on a varying basis and the member accepts that it is The Clarendon Hotel’s sole discretion as to what basis rewards are earned and that not all members will necessarily receive rewards on an equal basis.
  18. The Clarendon Hotel may adjust the rewards offered to different classes of membership as it sees fit at any time and without notice.
  19. The Clarendon Hotel may adjust or amend the value of rewards at any time at its sole discretion.
  20. The Clarendon Hotel holds no responsibility for loss or incorrect awarding of rewards or prizes due to technical failure, error or malfunction of any of the Membership Program system, technology or peripheral equipment which is used in the facilitation of the program and rewards will not be available for accrual or redemption and may not be credited at a future time.
  21. Rewards are subject to change without prior notice.
  22. The decisions of The Clarendon Hotel in relation to the operation of the Membership Program or any dispute arising out of or in connection with it are final.
  23. Loss of your The Clarendon Hotel Membership card may result in a charge for a replacement card.
  24. Card holders cannot authorise others to use or claim prizes on their card.
  25. The Clarendon Hotel is not responsible for any loss or damages incurred by members, directly or indirectly relating to their membership card.
  26. It is the card holder’s responsibility to notify the venue of any change of address, or if any card is lost, stolen or damaged and The Clarendon Hotel holds no responsibility for replacing lost or stolen rewards.
  27. Membership benefits and privileges are determined by The Clarendon Hotel and may vary or change without notice.
  28. In the case of the death of a member, his/her rewards will lapse automatically.
  29. This Membership program is conducted in accordance with The Clarendon Hotel Privacy Policy. This policy complies with the Privacy Act and relates to the collection, storage and use of personal member information. A copy of the policy may be viewed upon request.
  30. Use of your membership card constitutes acceptance of the rules, terms and conditions and agreement to be bound by them.
  31. It is the member’s responsibility to maintain the security of their membership card.
  32. Proof of identification may be required at the time of redeeming rewards at The Clarendon Hotel discretion.
